Inspiration

For our music video it is very dated and very 90's. Because of the meaning of the song we thought of the girl trying to get a males attentions. 90's TV consisted of lots of reality TV shows, one of them being the most known was Cila Blacks Blind Date show.

There are either three women or three men that are questionned by the opposite sex to see if they are compatible, the one that fits the description best suited for the interviewer is chosen to go on a date through the choice of the show. We have taken this idea and are using it as a theme for the main narrative of our music video.The theme will stay consistent throughout. However instead of only one female winning the male we have decided to let all the women to date the guy and then he will choose at the end.

A date we have chosen for one of the main female characters is the cinema. This was inspired by a 90s song by Mariah Carey- heartbreaker which we plan to use some of the ideas such as the other two girls throwing popcorn at me character and the date.















Another inspiration was Luther Vandross feat Janet Jackson-Best things in life are free. The original music video was filmed and based around a fun fair. Although the song was an original soundtrack for a film with some clips from the film in the music video, the theme stays consistent throughout. The type of colouring and mood with the orange tint connotes a happy memory which has influenced us to create something quite similar. Both these songs are not modern with high quality footage as the technology to create the HD effect was not created in this time period. To give our audience some nostalgic thoughts, we would like most of our footage although filmed it will be filmed with a HD camera; it will have quite a distaughted look to follow these conventions of the time period we are trying to recreate.
