Song choices

My group and I thought of lots of different song choices to film our music video. Some of these choices where:

• Beyonce: flaws and all
• Beyonce: Yes
• Andrew 3000 featuring Kelis: Millionaire
• Jade: Don't walk away

We thought of Beyonce's flaws and all because of the original video to this song. It is very quirky, fun and very easy to make. The character goes through numerous emotions and fazes maintaining the narrative of the song. It was also different in terms of editing with many cuts, angles, speed and the fact it is in black and white with a very old fashioned film style. However we didn't use this video because we thought we would think to much of the original video and it wouldn't be very unique.

 

Beyonce's- Yes was another idea. There is no video for this song so it would really entirely on our own imagination which was good, unfortunately myself and Stephnie both felt that it would be too complicated in terms of on beat cutting, edits and more.

Andre 3000 featuring Kelis- Millionaire was thought of because again like Beyonce's flaws and all video it had good camera shots and angles with a good narrative. Because it was like the flaws and all the video would be hard to recreate without thinking of the original video.

Jade: Don't walk away was an idea at first for fun yet became clear it would become our music for our music video. Stephnie and I both simultaneously thought of lots of ideas straight away for the type of filming that would occur whilst filming the song as a music video. Although like many other music videos we had looked at, we both realised that this is a classic 90's song that we could recreate into a modern video. We immediately began planning our music videos story line.
