Evaluation Question 1

Image One: Technology is revolutionary and constantly evolving. As our music video is filmed in a contemporary format trying to appeal to young adults and teenagers who all use mobile phones for communication we decided to use the black berry as it is one the most leading electrical products competing against the iPhone for popularity. The visual imagery of the phone dialling a number and the calling relates to audio of the song also.

Image Two: The "blind date" like scene represents the 1990's reality TV show. The 1990's theme is relevant to appeal to the more mature audience. This relates to the narrative of the lyrics as the girls are all trying to not let the guy slip away from him. This frame also shows all of the characters and the use of mise-en-scene to distinguish each individual characteristics.

We challenged the conventions of girls been seen as sexual objects by not concentrating on specific body but concentrating on they're facial appearances and personality.

Image Three: This is an example of our performance and lip-syncing showing our accurate editing to give an overall professional look. This is conventional to our music video.

Image Four and Five: The protagonists are shown on a date in the cinema. For legal reasons we were not allowed to film inside a real cinema due to copyright law. Thanks to our initiative we recreated the scene by using a projector and lights.

Image Six: The protagonist again is lip-syncing to the on beat editing. The background  compliments the artist as the focus is entirely on them.

Image Seven: Apart of the convention of a music video is to include some sort of musical instrument. We decided to incorporate this as a part of one of the date scenes, following the narrative and its purpose.

Image Eight: The logo of the reality game show is advertised and branded as a part of Jade to inform the audience that this is not a real programme and is apart of the magic realism presented.

Image Nine: The medium shot focuses on mise-en-scene looking at the costume and facial expressions of the character. For each character there is a specific item which represents them and has deeper connotations. For example the glasses represent a nerd and someone very smart.

Image One: 'Missy Elliott- Get your freak on' This frame shows the visual aspects following the lyrics.

Image Two: Like our video showing a musical instrument 'John Legend- Ordinary People' is an acoustic song solely played by a piano, this follows the contour of the beat.

Image Three: 'Janet Jackson- Son of Gun' This frame follows the narrative and overall theme of a creepy horror video about pay back.

Image Four: 'B2K-Bump bump bump' Their video mainly consists of a perfomance and dancing through their wide use of lip-syncing.

Image Five: 'Michael and Janet Jackson-Scream' As their song title is called scream their visual aspects are futuristic showing the artists perspective of the song.

Images Six and Seven: 'Kate Nash- Foundation and 50 Cent-P.I.M.P' These two artists use mise-en-scene to portray their environment and their genre of music through their clothing,

Kate Nash uses bright colours to contrast the song which about how wrong things are in a relationship.

Image Eight: 'Gym Class Heroes- Clothes Off' The phone is advertised for the modern day uses that they're target audience use also the child on screen follows the title of the song by having hardly any clothes on and having fun.

Image Nine: 'Lauryn Hill- Killing me softly' The video "like my bands" does not relate to the lyrics of  the song, however they have also made up their own narrative to entertain their audience.

Evaluation Question 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

The feedback was really good from people. I decided to post it on facebook as Facebook is one the leading social networks that our target audience use. It is also accessible for everyone to view and easy to be able to post things. Like Youtube there is a like and dislike button which enables me to see how many people enjoy our video. There is also a comment bare provided that many people have commented on.

Many people said that is was very funny and enjoyable which was what we was looking for. We were also complimented on our lip-syncing and editing.

A negative response we received turned out to be good criticism. A few people have said that overall it was really good and that they would have liked the ending to come to a conclusion on who the guy eventually picks. Overall all positive comments, and all the parts specified such as the comedy is what we had planned for.

For our ancillary texts the reviews where good looking at the consistency between our advert and our digipak. However it was said to be too simple, yet others found the simpleness made it more effective and the colour of the glasses. Most preferred the simple features.
